With the advent of Common Core Curriculum Standards, (2013) , come increased expectations for both narrative and informational writing for intermediate level students. For students with disabilities to meet this challenge, teachers need to carefully teach, or in the case of intermediate level students, reteach the writing process and thoughtfully select and utilize effective assistive technology tools that allow students to meet common core standards in writing.
