This is a fabulous resource for children learning American Sign Language (ASL) to support communication and language development.
Colorful and eye-catching pages also makes a lovely Wall Frieze with the 26 letters of the alphabet, one letter per sheet, plain and simple – upper and lower case, with picture, sign with written description and the fingerspelled letter.
A great activity for individual or small group work on a whiteboard – USE ON SCREEN or PRINT AS A BOOK or wall-frieze.
On screen you can take turns to choose a letter in the Fingerspelling Chart and click on the letter to go to the full page for each letter, then click in that page to return to the Fingerspelling Chart.
Ideal for deaf children and children with additional speech and language needs and their families learning ASL together. Designed to promote essential early learning for young children and help to foster an inclusive environment.
The contents contain the most commonly used versions of signs but some signs do have regional variations, so please check with your local ASL community for local usage. Face to face contact with native sign language users is recommended as the best way to learn and the Let’s Sign resources are designed to support this.
