Differences between K-12 and postsecondary education for students is abundant. The assistive technology that is available and is used is one of these differences. But how different are the tools used in postsecondary education versus K-12? What are the most common tools used once students get to college? Attendees of this webinar will learn about ten (or more) of the most common assistive technology tools being used in the postsecondary education setting. Tool functionality and practical use examples will be addressed along with demos of the tools for better understanding for those working with students in high school or transitioning.
Colleges and Universities have increased the use of assistive technology as a means of providing accommodations to students. For students transitioning, it’s more important than ever to come to college with an understanding of assistive technology, including what they have used and what has been effective.
