This year’s Closing The Gap Conference features the Annual Minnesota AAC Town Hall Meeting, an open discussion for AAC users to share their unique perspectives on communication. ️
Not an AAC user? You’re still welcome! Attend, observe, listen, learn, and broaden your understanding of AAC and the amazing people who use it.
This Town Hall promises to be an insightful experience for everyone. Don’t miss it!
TOWN HALL FORMAT
Facilitators will guide the meeting, encouraging all of the participating AAC users to respond to the following questions:
- What is your name and what’s one thing you want to tell us about yourself?
- What are some things that you care about that are important to you?

What do you hope the people in the audience learn from our Town Hall today?

What new feature would you create to make your AAC system better?

How can people who support you respect your privacy?

What do you hope your life will look like in the future?
HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE?
Conference registration or town hall signup required. Choose from the following three options.
In Person:
- Standard Conference Registration: This option includes access to the AAC Town Hall, all other conference presentations, and the exhibit hall. A discounted rate of $375 is available for individuals with disabilities.
- Free AAC Town Hall-Only Participation: Sign up below to participate in the town-hall! Includes the town hall session (Wednesday 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm ) and access to the exhibit hall. All other conference events and presentations are NOT included.
Virtually:
- Free Virtual Participation: Sign up online at no cost to join the Town Hall discussion virtually via Zoom. We’ll send you instructions to join the live meeting before the event.
