The Summerbell Reading Method App is intended for use by anyone with Visual Dyslexia, from Elementary school through Adulthood. The app transcribes anything on the Internet to the “positional reading arc”, and is available for download on Apple and Google/Android stores. Currently the school based model utilizes a Chrome Extension. When text is presented in the arc format, vs linear, individuals with Visual Dyslexia report an ability to immediately read and decode. A recent quasi-experimental study by Johns Hopkins University – Center for Research and Reform in Education “An Evaluation of the Summerbell Reading Program in Pennsylvania”, reveal gains in multiple areas of Reading, including a statistically significant increase in Oral Reading Fluency.
