Workshop Summary:
This workshop will empower special education professionals to harness the potential of AI. Participants will explore a variety of proven AI-powered tools specifically designed for the school environment, learning how these tools can streamline tasks like IEP creation, progress report generation, and personalized learning material design and development. Thereby increasing your productivity and giving you back student time. The workshop will showcase practical applications for supporting students with diverse learning differences, including targeted interventions. Attendees will gain hands-on experience with these tools, investigate the hurdles and challenges of AI implementation, and discuss best practices for effective integration. Critically, the workshop will address ethical considerations surrounding AI, ensuring responsible adoption. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to confidently identify, integrate, and utilize AI tools to enhance their productivity, creativity, and ultimately, student outcomes.

Participants will analyze three different AI-powered tools relevant to their specific professional field and determine their potential for increasing personal productivity with a Focus on critical thinking and application.
Participants will demonstrate the effective use of at least one AI-based productivity tool, including customizing settings and applying it to a specific work-related task.
Participants will identify 4 potential ethical considerations related to the integration of AI tools into their professional workflows, and discuss strategies for mitigating potential risks.
