Workshop Summary:
This dynamic workshop empowers educators/related service providers with proven strategies to transform IEP development from overwhelming to achievable. With special education litigation increasing by 58% since 2020, and procedural errors cited in 87% of due process hearings, the stakes for proper IEP development have never been higher. We will learn to create impactful IEPs that drive student growth while maintaining compliance. Participants will explore techniques and resources for crafting legally sound IEPs while streamlining the process through practical tools and templates. Through some hands-on activities, attendees will master writing measurable goals, selecting impactful accommodations, and documenting present levels with clarity and precision. Interactive sessions will tackle common challenges like progress monitoring, data collection, and team collaboration. Participants will leave with a comprehensive digital resource library, customizable templates, and practical strategies they can implement immediately in their own settings.
