Description: This dynamic workshop empowers educators/related service providers with proven strategies to transform IEP development from overwhelming to achievable. With special education litigation increasing by 58% since 2020, and procedural errors cited in 87% of due process hearings, the stakes for proper IEP development have never been higher. We will learn to create impactful IEPs that drive student growth while maintaining compliance. Participants will explore techniques and resources for crafting legally sound IEPs while streamlining the process through practical tools and templates. Through some hands-on activities, attendees will master writing measurable goals, selecting impactful accommodations, and documenting present levels with clarity and precision. Interactive sessions will tackle common challenges like progress monitoring, data collection, and team collaboration. Participants will leave with a comprehensive digital resource library, customizable templates, and practical strategies they can implement immediately in their own settings.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations must be received in writing by Closing The Gap on or before October 1, 2025. Replacements are welcome and must also be submitted in writing.

Cancellation fees:

  • $200 for each 1-day pre-conference workshop
  • $300 for each 2-day pre-conference workshop
  • $100 for each single-day conference registration
  • $250 for each full conference registration. Applicable to standard rate, Solutions member rate, presenter/exhibitor rate and conference registration and membership combo rate.

No refunds will be issued after October 1, 2025. Unpaid balances are due in full.

If for any reason beyond Closing The Gap’s control, Closing The Gap determines that the in-person conference must be cancelled, attendees understand and agree that their registration type shall be changed to a virtual registration. Closing The Gap is not responsible for any additional conference expenses, including hotel, travel, etc.
